The Project of ¡°Purchase of Mid-range scanners for the China National System of Imaging Interchange for Cheques¡± |
|
► Duration of Project:
From October 2006 through now.
► Customer¡¯s requirements:
With the rapid economic development in China, payments through cheques are so popular in most business transactions. There comes a trend for Cheques Clearing conducted by banks in China to make use of modern computer and networking technology in making electronic transmission a substitute for transmission of paper bills and vouchers.
In view of such trend, the People¡¯s Bank of China began to construct a ¡°Nation-wide System of Imaging Interchange for Cheques¡± in 2006. Cheques preservation, newly developed mode of cheques clearing and cheques interchange can then be implemented throughout the nation.
► Equipment for the Project:
Fujitsu¡¯s fi-5120C and fi-5650C scanners, bundling with Nikoyo¡¯s self-developed image scanning and image viewing control software.
► Description of the Case:
During the early phase of technical development for the Project, Nikoyo has taken initiative and great efforts in holding technical seminars with the Clearing Centre of People¡¯s Bank of China in order to ensure User¡¯s required specifications.
Upon verification, Nikoyo¡¯s self-developed image scanning and image viewing control software was finally confirmed that could be installed into User¡¯s ¡°Nation-wide System of Imaging Interchange for Cheques¡±. To cope with the pace of launching the Project, Nikoyo has conducted much follow up in modification and testing, fully satisfying User¡¯s needs.
► Efficiency of Implementation:
Through technical cooperation between Nikoyo and People¡¯s Bank of China in ¡°Nation-wide System of Imaging Interchange for Cheques¡±, implementation can smoothly be taken in all trial spots.
Up to now, by the virtue of the Project, Fujitsu¡¯s fi-5120C is once again proved to be an outstanding scanner with its capability of supporting scanning of papers in length of 3-metres under color mode as well as the feature of auto cutting and adjustment of images. That capability is definitely piloting the advanced technology of low-end scanners in global market.
